Why was Jesus crucified?

Why was Jesus crucified? বাংলাতে পড়ুন

We all have seen the crucified picture of Jesus and have read in history that Jesus was crucified. But many may not know why he was crucified. So today I am writing this post.

Hello, my name is Sukumar and in the previous writings we read that Jesus was God and that he testified in various ways. If you have not read my previous post, please read the post first by clicking on the link below.
Read alslo Who was Jesus? Was He God?

We have read or heard many events in history, but the most strange of these is the story of Jesus. He never ruled any country, yet everyone called him king. Even when Jesus was crucified, soldiers hung a signboard over his head that said, "This is the King of the Jews." Although he was not a doctor, people knew him as a great physician. And there are still many people who come to Jesus and are healed today. He healed countless lepers, opened the eyes to the blind, gave life to the dead. He never went to a major university, yet he became a great teacher. He was only thirty-three years on the earth and has lived a full holy life. To this day, nobody has been able to prove that He is guilty of sin. And it was Jesus who claimed it. Jesus Himself says, "Can any of you prove that I am guilty of sin?" (John 8:46)

He did many wonders on earth that no one else has ever done, but the saddest thing is that people still crucified him. Let's look at our own thinking today why people crucified Jesus -

The first reason
He healed the sick on the Sabbath.
                     (Mark 2: 23-28)
And he was going through the grainfields on the Sabbath; And his disciples began to pluck the ears of corn. And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful? And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he was hungry, and he was hungry? He entered the house of God at the time of Abiathar the high priest, and he ate the bread that was not lawful to eat except the priests, and he gave them to his companions. And he said unto them, The sabbath is made for man, not man for the sabbath; Therefore the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.
                  (Mark 3: 1-6)
And he entered the synagogue again; There was a man with one of his hands withered. Then the people looked to Jesus to see if He would heal him on the Sabbath; So that he may accuse his name. And he said to the man who had the withered hand, Come and stand in the middle. And he said unto them, What is it that ye do on the sabbath day? Do good or evil? To save or not to kill? But they kept quiet. And he being troubled in their hearts, looked round at them, and said to the man, Stretch out thy hand; He stretched it out, and his hand was restored as before. And the Pharisees went out, and straightway with the Herodians took counsel against him, how they might destroy him.
                   (John 5: 15-16)
The man went away, and told the Jews that Jesus had healed him. This is why the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because he was doing these things on the Sabbath.

The second reason
Jesus forgave sins and loved sinners.
(Mark 2: 1-12)
A few days later, when he returned to Capernaum, it was heard that he was in the house. And so many people came together to him that there was no room left at the door. And he began to preach to them.
Then the people were carrying a paralyzed man with four people and brought him to him. But without being able to approach him with the crowd, he opened the roof of the place where he was, and, having drunk, dropped the bed where the paralyzed man was lying.
Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, "Your sins are forgiven, my son." But there were some professors sitting; And they reasoned within themselves, saying, Why is this man saying such a thing? The one who is blaspheming God; Who can forgive sins except one, that is, God? And straightway Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralyzed man, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up, pick up your bed'? But you know that the Son of Man has the power to forgive sins on earth, so he said to the paralyzed man - I tell you, get up, pick up your bed and go to your house. So he got up, took off his bed, and went out in front of everyone; And all were astonished at it, and glorified God, saying, I never saw such a thing.
            (Mark 2: 13-37)
And he went out again, and passed by the sea; and all the people came unto him, and he admonished them. And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the place of taxation. And he said to him, Come after me; So he got up and followed him. Then he sat down to eat in his house, and many tax collectors and sinners sat with Jesus and his disciples; Because many were present, and they were following him. But when he saw that he was eating with the sinners and the tax collectors, the Pharisees' teachers told his disciples, he ate with the tax collectors and sinners. And when Jesus heard it, he said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

The third reason
He called himself the Son of God and made himself equal to God.

                     (John 5: 17-18)
But Jesus answered and said unto them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. This is why the Jews tried to kill him; Not only did he violate the Sabbath, but again he called God his Father, making him equal to God.
                    (John 10: 30-33)
Me and my father, we are one. The Jews took up stones again to stone him. And Jesus answering said unto them, I have shown you many good works from the Father; The Jews answered him, "Do not stone you for good, but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make you God."

He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world did not know him. They crucified him.
Even when Pilate was judging him, he said of Jesus "I find no fault in him". (John 18:38)
He was God and he came into the world to die. He knew, he had to die on the cross.
                     (John; 20: 17-19)
And when Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way he said to them, See, we are going up to Jerusalem; And the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the professors; They will punish him, and will hand him over to the Gentiles to mock, whip, and crucify; Later he would rise on the third day.

The Bible tells us that we are all sinners:
"There is none righteous, no, not one," for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God - (Rom. 3: 10-23).
Since we are all sinners, no one can enter the kingdom of God. The Holy Bible reveals that God created man without sin. Man, of course, through his disobedience carried the curse of sin upon himself. "God made humans simple, but they have explored many imaginations." (Ecclesiastes 7:29)

"Therefore as through one man sin entered into the world through sin, and death through sin; and thus death passed to all men, because all have sinned" (Rom. 5:12).
Thus, "sin" first entered the life of mankind through Adam, and from there spread to the next generations, and finally reached us. We do not have to teach anyone to sin. Since we are sinners, death is waiting for us. "For the wages of sin is death."
Even though we practice many religions to save us from sin, nothing can cleanse our sin. Because "without bloodshed there is no remission." The blood of an innocent man was needed to pay the price for your sin. So God Himself came in the form of the Lord Jesus and he was born in the womb. He became a woman, under the law, so that he could redeem people under the law.

The Bible says that "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and was buried, and according to the Scriptures He was raised on the third day". (1st cor 15: 3-4)

Read the following verses that were written about 742 years before the birth of Jesus -

                                    Isaiah 53 (Isaiah 53)
He became known to the ignorant and the abandoned, the pains and the sufferings of men; He was disgusted with what people cover their faces, and we did not obey him. The truth is, He has taken away all our pains, He has borne our pains, yet we thought He was wounded, God-struck and afflicted. But he was bruised for our iniquities, crushed for our transgression; Our peaceful chastisement fell upon him, and his wounds healed us. We have all gone astray like sheep, each turning to his own way; And the Lord has laid the blame on us all. He was troubled, but he suffered, he did not open his mouth; He did not open his mouth like a lamb was slaughtered for slaughter; He was overthrown by violence and judgment; Who among the people in those days thought that he was removed from the land of the living? My nation was hurt because of his wrongdoing. And the people buried his body with the wicked, and in death he became a companion of the rich, Although he did not commit violence, he did not have a trick. Yet it was the Lord's intention to crush him;

However, Jesus came back to life after three days to say, "Whoever believes in Him has eternal life." (John 1: 3) But what will you do with Jesus?

The decision is yours! What do you do with Jesus?
