Where are you going after death?
You might be surprised to hear the question, but no matter what kind of person you are, it is important to answer your question. Think deeply about where you are going after death? Whether you are righteous or unrighteous, you must die. Death does not spare the rich, the poor, the children, the elderly, the righteous or the unrighteous. You must die in time. Many great great beings were born on this earth but they all died. But where do those who die?
We are just one of the guests entering the hotel. We were born on this earth, spend some time, do different chores, and come back home after the appointed time is over! In other words, We die and mix with dust. So where are we from and where are we going? In the busyness of our lives, we never think about these questions, but this question is most important in your life.
So what after death?
The Holy Bible tells us: And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement. (Heb. 9:27).
Do not cheat yourself, you will not be born as a cow, goat or any other animal after death. You must stand before God's judgment seat. If you are righteous then waiting for you is the "paradise" of eternal happiness. And if you are unrighteous, then there is an eternal hell waiting for you.
Read the Bible verses below:
"For the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life, and them that have done evil, shall come out for the resurrection of judgment." (John 5: 28-29)
"And many who are asleep in the dust of the earth shall awake - some to eternal life, and some to shame and everlasting hatred." (Daniel 12: 2)
Where some people will inherit eternal life after death, others will be punished with eternal hell or eternal death.
Now ask yourself are you a righteous person?
I know many will answer yes. And many think that they will go to heaven after death because they have not committed any such sin. And if someone had asked me this question a few years ago, my answer would have been the same. I thought of myself as a very religious person because I had never done anything bad in my life that was bad in the eyes of society. In my view, only stealing, drinking alcohol, or killing were the sins.
But when I read a verse in the Bible that says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23), I was surprised for a moment because I had never heard such a thing before. I was surprised because everyone was talking about here. Since everyone is sinful, so am I. Within a moment, a strange change occurred in me. All the bad things started to creep up in front of my eyes.
All the lies I told in school life, the bad looks at the girls, the dirty pictures, everything was floating in front of my eyes. And all these actions were exposing my sinful nature because I know nobody taught me these things.
I read further verses from the Bible where it was written
“There is none righteous, no, not one:There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips. Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood.Destruction and misery are in their ways. And the way of peace have they not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes.
I was crying because all the sins I committed were floating in front of my eyes. Infinite hell was waiting for me. But even then I started to read the next post and my mind was filled with joy because I read -
"They are justified by His free grace, by the redemption that is given in Christ Jesus." Even though I did not know much about Jesus at the time, my heart was swollen with joy.
Then a servant of God let me read these Bible verses -
“God is light, and in him there is no darkness. The blood of his Son, Jesus, cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, then we lie, and the truth is not in our hearts. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so He will take away our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in our hearts ”(I John 1: 5-9).
I also read: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one-begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3: 16)
"Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and was buried, and He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures" (1st cor 15: 3-4).
Jesus was dead but He is alive again on the third day. After hearing this, I had no doubts about the divinity of Jesus. I believed that Jesus was the Son of God and that He was God Himself.
I was reading all the terms and it seemed like God was talking to me. I immediately started praying to Jesus:
"Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I have sinned against you. I considered myself righteous, but I am actually a sinner. Forgive all my sins. I believe that you died on the cross for my sin and rose again on the third day . I dedicate myself to you. You lead me into a new life. I want the name of the Lord Jesus. Amen. "
I prayed that day and was convinced that the Lord Jesus forgave all my sins and gave me eternal life. Then I read another verse: “Jesus said to him, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, even though he dies, will live; And whoever lives and believes in me will never die. (John 11:25)
I know that if I die right now, I will be in heaven with the Lord Jesus because He has forgiven all my sins. Now if anyone asks me "where do you go after death?" - I boldly say I will go to heaven because Jesus is in heaven and He has conquered death.
Are you sure you are going to heaven? Don't listen to the words of the world. Without Jesus, no one will be able to forgive your sins. Your good deeds will not save you. Whether you make pilgrimages or do rituals, nothing can forgive your sins. Because the Bible says, "Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins." Further, "the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin."
Think where you will spend your eternity after death in hellfire? Or is God in heaven with him?
Believe in the Lord Jesus and repent of your sins. He will give you eternal life. "You and your family believe in the Lord Jesus, you will be saved".
